What is Kindermusik ?

Kindermusik is a fun and creative music and movement program for children aged 0 – 6 years. Each Kindermusik class is child-centred and includes parents. It is a great opportunity to have lots of fun with your child in a special time to bond and learn together. It is also a time to get to know other children and caregivers in your community.

Kindermusik has a unique and creative curriculum that focuses on the whole child.

You will discover that Kindermusik will help your child to develop :

 cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language and musical skills.

Each week you will play, listen and dance to music through age appropriate activities. A qualified and experienced Kindermusik educator will guide you every step of the way so you know how each activity contributes to your child’s overall growth and development.

You will have access to quality online home materials and the Kindermusik app including all your class music, stories, and more so that you can continue the fun and learning all through the week with your child’s best teacher – you ! By using these resources at home, your child can feel relaxed and confident in the classroom.

So whether it is singing and dancing together, twirling under a sea of scarves, experimenting with age-appropriate instruments, creating a musical ensemble, or snuggling in your lap at story time, Kindermusik speaks your child’s language.

Kindermusik is much more than a weekly class.

Family involvement in a child’s learning is a fundamental aspect of the Kindermusik philosophy. Kindermusik believes that the parent is the child’s most important teacher and the home is the most important place for a child’s learning to grow.  The At Home Materials that you receive are the tools that you need to continue the fun and learning with your child at home and are an essential part of the Kindermusik program.  While your Kindermusik educator will plant the seed of learning through music in the classroom, you can use your At Home Materials to cultivate lifelong learning. So enjoy the journey all week long. There’s no better way to nurture your child’s development and you’ll enjoy learning together too !

About Your Kindermusik Educator.

Karen Brodnik  is an experienced and enthusiastic music teacher who believes in the educational benefits and joy that music can bring to a child’s life. With a Bachelor of Music Education and flute as her major instrument, Karen’s life has been enhanced through her involvement in music. She has used her talents by participating in and coordinating a large variety of musical activities and performances, teaching children of all ages in school classrooms and instrumental tuition. She draws on this skill and experience in her approach to Kindermusik and values what the curriculum can bring to families. As a licensed Kindermusik Educator, Karen’s goal is to enrich the lives of children by inspiring a love of learning and a life long appreciation of music.
